ITINERARY
Day 1
- Hello Travelers, it’s time to get Spitified! We will assemble at Kashmere Gate before pick-up time and introduce ourselves to fellow travelers.
- Later, the Trip Guides will give you a brief about the rest of the journey and after the introduction is done, all the travelers will board the bus.
- Overnight Drive to Shimla.
Day 2
- Welcome to Shimla! We will be changing our transport from Bus to Tempo Traveler, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey for each traveler.
- En-route Chitkul, we will be making a small halt near Shimla to freshen and gear up.
- You will be witnessing a gradual change in the landscapes as we traverse through Kinnaur Valley, the land of gods. En route, we will also witness the iconic Kinnaur Gate.
- Relish in the journey and soak in the views throughout the drive.
- Upon reaching Chitkul, check-in into your hotels and greet yourself to a homely scrumptious dinner.
- Overnight stay in Chitkul.
Note : The freshen-up point will be 2 hours ahead of Shimla.

Day 3
- After soaking in the morning sun, devour a delicious breakfast and head towards the tempo traveler.
- After breakfast, we’ll enjoy some leisure time in Chitkul, including a visit to Hindustan ka Aakhri Dhaba and some time at the riverside.
- We will enjoy lunch in Reckong Peo while taking in the stunning view of the Kinnaur Kailash Peak.
- En-route, we will make a pit stop at Khab, the site of the union between the Sutlej and Spiti rivers.
- Upon reaching Nako, we will visit the famous Nako Lake and Nako View Point and click amazing photographs with a surreal backdrop.
- Enjoy a chilly night with a warm dinner and take ample rest for a smooth journey ahead.
Note : To reach Nako View Point we will have to do a small hike.
Highlight of the Day: Reckong Peo, Khab view point, Nako Lake and Nako View Point
Day 4
- Wake up to the stunning vistas of Nako, where you’ll enjoy a delightful breakfast surrounded by serene beauty.
- Our first destination will be the historic Nako Monastery, where you’ll have time to wander and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.
- Afterwards, we finally enter Spiti Valley as we venture out on a rugged drive to Kaza, headquarters of Spiti. The entire journey is an amalgamation of thrill, peace and beguiling landscapes at every turn.
- En-route Kaza, we will be witnessing a cluster of age-old monasteries that are the heritage of Spiti Valley. We will make multiple pit-stops, firstly at the thousand year old Tabo Monastery where you can immerse yourself in a spiritual experience.
- Later, we will also stop at the Dhankar Fort and Dhankar Monastery, which used to be the former headquarters of Spiti Valley. The view from the fort is truly amazing and lets you get a sneak peak of the magical journey that lies ahead.
- In the evening as we reach Kaza, we will catch an azure sunset over the mountains and head to our hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza.
Highlight of the Day: Nako Monastery, Tabo Monastery, Dhankar Fort and Dhankar Monastery
Day 5
- Rise and Shine travelers! Today is the day we explore the wonders of Spiti and be spellbound by its unimaginable beauty.
- After breakfast, we will head to our designated tempo travelers and set out for the iconic Key Monastery. Key Gompa, is the largest monastery in Spiti Valley and home to hundreds of Lamas.
- Take your time strolling across the narrow lanes and indulging yourself in the rich culture that fills you with a sense of tranquility. After, we will head out to explore the highest locations in the World that are nestled in the embrace of Spiti.
- We will explore Chicham Bridge which is Asia’s highest suspension bridge followed by the highest post office in the world, Hikkim.
- Afterward, we’ll move towards Komic Village which is one of the highest villages in the world connected by a motorable road.
- Last but not least, we will visit the Land of Fossils, Langza, and visit the Buddha statue that sits on top of a hill overlooking the village.
- After a day full of thrill and adventure, we will finally head back to our hotel only to be treated by a bewitching night sky that you can spend hours gazing at.
- Enjoy a fulfilling meal and take ample rest for the next day’s adventure.
Highlight of the Day: Key Monastery, Chicham Bridge, Hikkim, Komic, Langza
Day 6
- Wake up to serene views and embrace the Spitian Vibe before we indulge in breakfast and head out for yet another memorable experience.
- Today, we will be heading to the breathtaking Chandratal – one of Spiti’s most exquisite sightseeing locations which mimics the crescent moon. En-route, we will be traversing through Kunzum Pass perched at an height of 15,050ft.
- After a rugged drive, we will finally reach the color changing Chandratal – the first view of this lake itself is enough to leave you in awe. Head into your campsites, freshen up and set out to explore Chandratal.
- Enjoy walking by the banks of Chandratal, dip your hands in its pristine waters and make sure to keep the place clean and leave no trash.
- As the night approaches, catch a glimpse of star studded sky and the Milky Way (if weather permits.)
- Spend the night bonding with your new found friends and being in absolute love with the starry sky.
- Dinner and overnight stay near Chandratal.
Note : If due to bad weather the roads to Chandratal stay closed, our alternate stay for the day will be arranged in Batal/Manali/Kaza.

Day 7
- Wake up to the sun knocking at your door and take a moment to capture the ethereal view laid in front of your eyes. Enjoy a yummy breakfast with splendid views and bid your goodbye to the place.
- We will again head back to our travelers and begin our return journey to Manali. On the way, we will make a stop at the famous Chacha-Chachi Ka Dhaba.
- As peaceful as the journey is, it will also be a crazy amount of fun as the whole group vibes to music and soulful conversations.
- We will reach Manali around evening and if time permits, we will provide a freshen-up halt and board the overnight bus to Delhi.
Note : Freshen-up arrangements will be provided if only time permits.
Day 8
We will reach Delhi early in the morning, with a heart full of memories and mind at peace. Hug goodbye to your friends and head back home with unforgettable memories from the trip.

Kaza is an administrative town. So, in terms of distance, there’s no proper way to measure it. But once you enter Spiti Valley, you’ll soon find Kaza there after a short distance of 4-5 kilometers.
How to Reach Spiti Valley From Manali?
There are two ways to reach Spiti. One is via Manali while the other is via Shimla. On this road trip to Spiti valley from Manali, we traverse the Manali route. It takes about 12-13 hours to reach Spiti from Manali in this Spiti valley road trip. It is considered to be one of the best routes to reach Spiti Valley especially when it comes to road trips as the duration of this trip via the Manali route is shorter in comparison. Not to mention that the roads are wider and better. The route that one needs to follow is first, go to Kaza from Manali and then change buses for Spiti from Kaza.
When is the Manali route to Spiti Valley open?
The Manali route to Spiti Valley is open at all times but during the winter seasons, due to heavy snowfall, the roads become slippery and hostile which is why it’s not recommended for a common tourist to embark on a Spiti valley road trip in winter all on their own.

- 50% registration fee is required to confirm the booking.
- Full payment must be completed before the start of the program.
- Participant will be allowed to attend the camp only after full payment and submission of all required documents.
- Cancellation charges are applicable on the total program cost as follows:
– 20% if cancelled before 30 days
– 50% if cancelled before 15 days
– No refund within 15 days of program start
- No refund will be granted if the participant:
– Leaves the camp voluntarily
– Is removed due to adjustment issues or rule violations
– Misses any part of the program due to late joining, early departure, illness, or absenteeism
- No refund or reduction will be given for unused tour services.
- Participants must strictly follow all camp rules and regulations. Disciplinary action may lead to termination without refund.
- In case of Force Majeure (natural calamities, political unrest, strikes, government orders, etc.), cancellation charges will apply as per Samara World’s policy.
- Any additional or unexpected costs arising during a Force Majeure or emergency will be borne by the participant.
- Participants must settle such unexpected expenses directly with the Trip Captain or Point of Contact (POC).
- Any penalties due to the absence of valid ID proofs will be borne by the participant.
- Samara Camps is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.
- Samara Camps is not liable for any mishaps, accidents, or cancellations caused by third-party vendors, natural disasters, or unforeseen events.
- Emergency medical treatment may be arranged if needed, and the guardian will be informed as soon as possible.
- Participation in adventure sports/activities is voluntary. All necessary precautions are taken, but Samara Camps is not responsible for any mishap.
- All disputes are subject to Vadodara jurisdiction.
- Trains and Volvo buses used during the trip may be managed by third-party vendors; delays or breakdowns will be handled as efficiently as possible.
- Participants must respect nature, local communities, and camp surroundings.
- Personal belongings (gear, luggage, etc.) are the responsibility of the participant.
- Requests like Early Check-in, Late Check-out, specific room views, etc., are subject to availability and may incur extra charges.
- Samara Camps reserves the right to change the schedule or itinerary in the interest of safety and well-being due to weather, road conditions, or any other unavoidable circumstances.
