Itinerary

DRIVE FROM DEHRADUN TO SANKRI

BASE VILLAGE

  • The group will assemble at the pickup point at 06:00 AM.
  • We'll drive towards Sankri village which is the base camp for the Kedarkantha Trek. Upon reaching Sankri, we'll check in to our designated homestay. The rest of the day is at leisure and travelers are advised to rest.
  • In the evening, Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Sankri Village.

Note : The pickup point will be Dehradun Railway Station (tentative).

  • Timing: 6.30 am (Tentative).

TREK FROM SANKRI TO JUDA KA TAAL

(4 Kilometers, 4 Hous Trek)

  • After early morning breakfast, a small briefing session would be conducted by the trek leader where all the necessary details about the rest of the day will be shared.
  • We will start our trekking journey. En route to our campsite, we'd be traversing through lush green forests consisting of pine trees with the Swargrohini Massif in the backdrop beckoning you closer.
  • We will reach Juda Ka Taal after five hours of trekking. Upon reaching our campsite, we will have lunch.
  • The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay at Juda Ka Taal Campsite.

JUDA KA TAAL TO KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP

(3 Kilometers, 4 Hours Trek)

  • The day will start with morning tea followed by breakfast.
  • The Trek Leader will give you a briefing about the day before we proceed.
  • Afterward, we'll start the trek towards the Kedarkantha Base Camp, which takes about 3-4 hours.
  • Upon reaching and checking into the campsite, we'll have a warm lunch.
  • The rest of the day is at leisure and we 'll relax by indulging in activities like snowball fights and other fun games.
  • Lastly, we'll have dinner at the campsite followed by an overnight stay at Kedarkantha Base Camp.

TREK TO KEDARKANTHA PEAK | BACK TO JUDA KA TAAL

(9 Kilometers, 8 Hours Trek)

  • We will finally begin our trek towards Kedarkantha Peak.
  • We'll get up at 02:00 AM as we'll be needing an early start.
  • Afterwards, the group will trek up to the Kedarkantha Summit.
  • After reaching the summit, we'll enjoy the view from the top and witness the beautiful sunrise from the summit. Shortly afterward, we'll head back to the Kedarkantha Base Camp once again.
  • Upon reaching, Lunch will be served at the campsite.
  • It's the last night at the campsite so we will have a farewell bash.
  • Overnight stay at Juda ka Taal campsite.

Fun Fact: You get a 360-degree view of the whole Himalayan Region from the Kedarkantha Top. Some of the peaks are Gangotri, Swargarohini, Banderpooch, Kinner Kailash, etc.

JUDA KA TAAL TO SANKRI I BACK TO DEHRADUN

(8 Kilometers, 4 Hours Approx) I (8 Hours Drive)

  • We will finally begin our trek towards Kedarkantha Peak.
  • We'll get up at 02:00 AM as we'll be needing an early start.
  • Afterwards, the group will trek up to the Kedarkantha Summit.
  • After reaching the summit, we'll enjoy the view from the top and witness the beautiful sunrise from the summit. Shortly afterward, we'll head back to the Kedarkantha Base Camp once again.
  • Upon reaching, Lunch will be served at the campsite.
  • It's the last night at the campsite so we will have a farewell bash.
  • Overnight stay at Juda ka Taal campsite.

Inclusions

  • Accommodation: 1 Night in a Hotel / Homestay on a triple/quad sharing basis. 3 Nights accommodation in a tent on a triple sharing basis.
  • Transportation: Surface transfer from Dehradun - Sankri - Dehradun by Sumo/ Bolero / Tempo Traveler (Depending on the number of travelers).
  • Meals: All Meals from (Day 1 Dinner to Day 5 Lunch) are included. We provide simple nutritious vegetarian food on all days of the trek.
  • Snacks: Morning / Evening Tea / Coffee with light snacks & soup while on the trek.
  • Camping logistics: Tent, Sleeping bags, Mattresses, Dining tent, Toilet tent
 
  • Trek Leader: Qualified and Experienced Trek leader and support staff.
  • Permits: All necessary fees and permits. (For Indians).
  • Trekking Equipment: Gaiters, Micro Spikes, and Rope if required.
  • Safety Equipment: Walkie / Talkie , Basic First Aid kit with Oximeter, Blood Pressure Monitor and Oxygen Cylinder.
  • Guide ratio: Local experience guide ( depends on the group size).
  • Others : Clock Room facility available at base camp for extra luggage.

Exclusions

  • Any expenses of personal nature.
  • Meals during transit.
  • Any insurance of any kind.
  • Unscheduled delay due to landslide.
  • Cost Escalation due to “ Force Majeure and Evacuation charges”.
  • Anything not mentioned explicitly in the above program.

Important Notes

  • We need you to stick to the Tour Program. No refunds if you're late, join late, or leave early. Remember, unused tour services aren't refundable.
  • We're not liable for any costs that occurred due to incidents like accidents, theft, or changes caused by reasons such as natural disasters (such as earthquakes, land slides, snowfall, road-blockage, floods), government orders, strikes, bandh, political disturbances, disease-related issues, or adverse weather conditions.
  • Just a heads up, if any unexpected costs pop up during your trip or if there are changes to the plan due to the reasons mentioned earlier, you'll need to take care of those expenses then and there. You can settle these directly with our POC or the trip captain on the go.
  • You'll handle any extra costs directly with the hotels or service providers. Keep in mind that special requests like Early Check-in, Late Check-out, room views, etc. depend on availability and will incur extra charges.
  • While we do our best to provide everything you need, remote locations can sometimes limit our offerings. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in these situations. Your support means a lot.
  • Volvo buses between Delhi and Base are from a third-party vendor, so stops and routes aren't entirely up to us. If a breakdown happens, we'll get you a backup ASAP, factoring in the location and time it would take. Thanks for understanding and cooperating!

Things to keep in mind

  • We do not provide trekking equipment like trekking sticks, backpacks, shoes, torch etc. One is required to carry all the items of their necessity by themselves which they can easily rent at affordable prices.
  • We will be providing all the amenities for a comfortable stay like sleeping bags, carry mat and a secure space. However, it should be noted that camping is an adventure activity that can’t be as comfortable as staying indoors. Enjoy the mountain life by being close to natural surroundings.
 
  • The camp accommodations at different locations may vary but are safe, cozy and comfortable and are located at unique view-points.
  • Please note that it is strictly prohibited to smoke in the camps or cause any damage of any kind. Our camps are set up at safe locations after thorough research and one is not allowed to request for shift in the location. Bonfires are not allowed.
  • We follow the principles of "Leave No Trace." Avoid littering, pick up trash left by others, and dispose your waste responsibly. By being sustainable we preserve nature for our future generations.
  • Stay on marked trails, never leave the group and avoid damaging plants and wildlife. It is also recommended that you have a basic idea of the routes.
  • Foster a positive and supportive group environment where everyone looks out for each other's well-being. Encourage teamwork and cooperation during challenging sections of the trek.
  • It is necessary to respect the culture, traditions, and local customs of the places you visit. We seek permission from local authorities before trekking through protected areas or private lands.
  • For meal plans, the menu will be on a fixed plan/ buffet basis and not on A-la-Carte basis. You will be provided light snacks in the morning and evening along with tea.
  • As imposed by the Government, a valid photo ID for all members going on the trek is mandatory to get all the necessary permits.
  • Our main source of water in the trip is Spring Water which is absolutely clean and safe for drinking.
  • Due to unforeseen situations (force majeure/ traffic jams / traffic halts/ diversions/ curfew, Union strike, VVIP movement, etc.) the vehicle reporting may get delayed and in such case, we request you to bear with us. We also expect you to board the vehicle as soon as it arrives so any further delay can be avoided.
  • The vehicle used will not be at disposal and will be exclusively used as per the itinerary only (on point to point basis).
  • No AC will be available in vehicles like Tempo Traveler/ Innova / Xylo / Scorpio or any similar category in hilly regions.
  • It is always advisable to keep your physical health in check and train for at least one month so you can conquer the trails easily without much struggle.
